MY STORY
Hello, My name is Kaylee Nichols, I star in the short film don’t look behind you. I am currently an LPN at an assisted living facility and also am a mother to my four year old daughter. I studied at Ross College and intend to further my education to become an RN.
From a young age I found my passion for the performing arts. I started performing in plays early on in elementary and once I began middle school I then joined drama club. That’s where I found my love for musicals. I participated in almost every play and musical from sixth grade to the end of high school.
The dream growing up was to always be an actress but it never seemed like a reality for me so I never pursued any further. So when Dakota asked me to star in a short film I was ecstatic because in some ways, without performing, I felt as though a part of me was missing. Dakota was absolutely great to work with and directed me with ease. We had a blast filming together!
Some other hobbies I enjoy in my free time are snowboarding, hiking, fishing, and basically anything outdoors. I also love to travel, my goal is to go on a little trip every other month this year. Life hasn’t been easy these past few years juggling nursing school, motherhood, my grandpa passing, and financial hardships. With that being said though I am currently in a great position with my career and life is finally coming together. This opportunity is so exciting and i’m absolutely thrilled to star in the next short film. All in all, I can’t wait to keep learning and growing in the performing industry!
